Merit Board
The Sheriff’s Merit Board meets on an as needed basis at the Sheriff’s Office.
These meetings are open to the public and will be posted a week prior to any upcoming meeting.
The Warrick County Sheriff’s Office currently employs sworn deputies, correction’s officers (jailers), telecommunication officers (dispatchers), and civilian support staff (office staff, court security and kitchen staff).
The Sheriff’s Office is committed to providing the citizens of Warrick County with only the highest quality of professionalism in all areas of law enforcement, whether that be with a merit officer or a civilian employee.

THE WARRICK COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE IS NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS FOR THE POSITION OF DEPUTY SHERIFF.
WARRICK COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE REQUIREMENTS AND BENEFITS OF A DEPUTY SHERIFF
You must meet these requirements:
- Must be a resident of the United States
- Must be 21 years of age
- Must have a high school diploma or GED
- Must not have a felony conviction
- Must be able to legally possess a firearm
- Must possess a valid driver’s license from your state of residence
- Must not be dishonorably discharged from the military
- Must pass a mandatory pre-hire drug screening test
- Must pass physical assessment
Salary and benefits package:
- Base Salary of $56,547.00
