Chief Deputy Paul Kruse has been a lifelong resident of Warrick County and joined the Warrick County Sheriff’s Office as a Deputy Sheriff in 2005. He graduated from the 152nd session of the Indiana Law Enforcement Academy and graduated from Oakland City University in 2015 with a degree in Criminal Justice.

Chief Deputy Kruse has served the Sheriff’s Office as a Motor Patrol Deputy, Sergeant, Narcotics Detective, and Criminal Detective. He served as a dispatcher and court security officer before joining Boonville Police Department as a Patrolman in 2002.  Chief Deputy Kruse was appointed by Sheriff Michael Wilder to serve as the number two Command Officer at the Sheriff’s Office. The Chief Deputy acts on behalf of the Sheriff in all matters in the Sheriff’s absence.
